You are the men and women who, through dedication and the highest levels of sacrifice, served your country and the nations of the world.  Tens of millions, soldiers and civilians, were killed.  The Allied victory rescued the world from the Axis powers, but America paid a tremendous price, Utah mad significant contributions and sacrifices to the victory.  A total of 71,172 Utahns served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the war; 3,660 died in service to their country.

Your interviews will be taped, then transcribed and stored in the Special Collections Department of the Marriott Library on the University of Utah campus and at the Fort Douglas Military Museum.  They will be available to the public, including veterans' families, friends and historians, at both locations.
