Executive Director’s Message: Veterans Day

Every year on Veterans Day, we take a moment to recognize the veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country.

This Veterans Day, the 101st anniversary of Armistice Day, and every day, the Utah Department of Veterans & Military affairs is committed to providing our veterans, service members and their families with the support they deserve. Every day, our veteran’s service officers work diligently to connect you to your earned benefits and ensure that you are advocated for and supported by the State of Utah.

Whether active-duty, in the Reserve, or the National Guard, we commend you for your service and sacrifices. Whether veteran or current service member, the Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs is privileged to advocate for you and your family.

Nearly 150,000 veterans reside in Utah, and over 300 soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines from Utah are currently deployed across the globe serving our national security interests.

The Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs humbly thanks our service members, veterans, and their families for your selflessness and love of country. Your sacrifices are valued and appreciated.

Nothing could be greater than to work with all of those who ensure our freedoms are preserved each and every day.
