Free State Fair Admission for Veterans, First Responders on Patriot Day

Wednesday, Sept. 11 is Patriot Day at the Utah State Fair. To thank those that selflessly serve or served our state and country, all military, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel and veterans will receive FREE admissions with proper identification.

Fair hours on Sept. 11 are noon to 10 p.m.

This year, veterans resource organizations will be located outside of the Bonneville Building (Building #2) from noon to 8 p.m. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on earned benefits and resources available to veterans and their families.

Representatives will be able to help veterans with VA healthcare enrollment, service-connected disability claims, employment resources and other benefits earned through service.

Veterans are encouraged to stop by and bring a copy of their DD214, “Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty,” to help VA representatives determine eligibility for VA benefits.

Note: Examples of proper identification include a copy of your DD214 with a photo ID, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ID, military ID, driver’s license with veteran status, or proof of membership to any veterans service organization, such as DAV, VFW or American Legion.
