Jim Bedingfield Biography

Jim currently serves as the State Officer at the Mervyn Sharp Bennion Veterans Home in Payson. Since joining UDVMA in 2012, Jim has also served as a Veteran Service Officer and IT Manager for the department. 

Jim is the oldest son of two Vietnam era Veterans (Navy and Air Force) and grew up in Morocco, Louisiana, Idaho, and Utah. He served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Fleet Marine Force Independent Duty Corpsman. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Jim completed 3 combat tours in Iraq with Marine units, and served on two Ships, the USS Saipan (LHA-2); USS Cardinal (MHC-60). Throughout his military career, Jim has been stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC; Camp Pendleton, CA; Naval Hospital Portsmouth, VA; and NMCRC Salt Lake City, UT.

After Retiring from the military, I went back to school and completed a Bachelor's degree at the University of Utah. As a veteran, Jim loves working with people who share his love of service and country.
