Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs office closed to public; will offer remote claims assistance

The Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs (UDVMA) will only offer virtual and remote claims assistance to Veterans, service members and families until further notice.

The UDVMA office will be closed to the public and will not take walk-in appointments or in-person meetings at this time. However, the department will still be working remotely to support Utah’s Veterans and military community, and will be answering phones at (801) 326-2372 or emailing veterans@utah.gov.

UDVMA offers free claims assistance for Veterans and families that covers all federal, state and local veterans’ programs. The veteran service officers are trained and accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Utah Department of Veterans & Military Affairs will be contacting individuals who already scheduled to meet with a veteran service officer to set up a claims meeting via Zoom, a remote conferencing tool.

Individuals wishing to schedule a new claims appointment via Zoom with the department may call UDVMA at (801) 326-2372 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternatively, appointments may be scheduled by emailing veterans@utah.gov.

Please note that due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, it may take UDVMA slightly longer to respond to calls and emails. The department encourages individuals to leave a message or email in case the phone line is busy.
