Taylor Ricks Biography

Taylor works to increase awareness of resources and programs that improve the quality of life for Utah’s veteran and military communities. Prior to joining UDVMA, Taylor worked in the Governor’s Office as director of constituent affairs under Governor Gary Herbert and Governor Spencer Cox. He also spent three years as a personal aide to then-Lt. Governor Cox. Taylor completed his bachelor’s degree in Communications at Brigham Young University and is currently completing a Master of Public Administration at Southern Utah University.

Before beginning his career in public service, Taylor worked with Veterans and service members as a mortgage loan officer specializing in VA home loans. He is also proud to come from a family with a strong military heritage—his grandfather served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and his great-grandfather was a medic during World War I.
